September 6th – 8th, 2012, the Varsity and JV will play in the TASO tournament. The tournament schedule is on the Schedules page.

The first tournament of the season begins Thursday, September 6 and goes until Sunday, September 9. More details will be released on the Schedules page when available.

Alvin High School is now in District 22 due to the UIL 2012 – 2014 Reclassification and Realignment.

Manvel High School has been reclassified as a 5A school and will play in District 22 with Alvin, Pearland, and the Pasadena schools. Clute Brazoswood, Dickinson, and the Clear Lake schools remain in District 24.

The summer season begins on June 4 for Mickey Mantle and Connie Mack teams. The schedules are located on the Schedules page. (The Freshman/Sophomore Mickey Mantle schedule is located on the Sophomore calendar. JV and Varsity schedules are on those calendars, respectively.)

Players should wear white or gray pants and an Alvin cap from the previous season. Jerseys will be distributed at the first game. Mickey Mantle players will receive caps. The cost of summer season is $160, and checks should be made payable to Mike Rogers or Alvin Baseball.

Mike Rogers coaching his 498th win

February 24^th at the Pearland First Pitch tournament, Alvin High School defeated Cy-Falls. The win gave Alvin Head Coach Mike Rogers his 500^th win.

Rogers is a veteran coach of 31 years is in his 10 year at Alvin High School. The Yellowjackets are currently 11-4 and begin district play Tuesday, March 13.
