The 2014 Alvin High School Baseball fundraising banquet is set for January 18th in the Alvin High School cafeteria, as always, the 3rd Saturday in January. Culinary Arts is preparing the dinner, and the players are serving. Doors open at 5:30 pm for browsing the fantastic auction and raffle items that the players and parents are collecting. The program begins at 6:30 pm, and tickets remain at only $15!
Each year we sell about 400 tickets to this banquet and raise funds to improve the facilities and purchase items for the players. All proceeds go the players, the program, or the field!
The program includes an introduction of the players, a moving video of them in the off-season, and a video of sponsor commercials cast with the players. The highlight of the program is the live auction that always brings prized and uncommon items. See a list of items from previous years. The silent auction begins when the doors open. A cake auction is also included with elaborate and delicious desserts for your table. Go in as a group and enjoy these treats, or take one home!

Each player receives eight tickets to sell at $15 each, which will populate one table of their guests. Players are free to sell more tickets, but any ticket buyers over eight will have to sit at a separate table. Coach Rogers will do his best to arrange the tables so that your guests are near each other, but it is not always possible. Players do not have to buy tickets for themselves.
Seniors tables are in front, juniors behind them, then sophomores, and freshman in the back. Coach Rogers makes the table assignments, and it is completely random.
Each player (parent) is responsible for decorating his own table. Decorations should reflect the player himself. Examples include mementos of the player’s baseball career, baby pictures, hobbies, homemade photo placemats—the sky’s the limit.
Tables (except for senior tables) are octagon. Round 8′ – 9′ tablecloths work well under your decorations. You can rent Read more
Alvin Baseball is holding its annual Baseball Banquet parent meeting on December 10 at 6:00 p.m. All parents of AHS baseball players are meeting in the LGI room of the Charles McCauley (CM) building at this time.
The annual Alvin High School Baseball Banquet, which is scheduled for January 19 this year. It is a big affair that players, parents, coaches, and community leaders look forward to all year long. The banquet will include a silent auction and a live auction.
Each family provides an item or items for the auction and has the choice to provide several small items such as a dinner for two, movie passes, and so forth. Alternatively, families can provide a large item, such as a guided fishing trip, autographed baseball, or other item that will bring larger bids. Reply with a note to Annette Riley either in email or on the Contact form of this website by January 4 when you have secured your item or items.
A paper donation letter and letter for sponsor requests are on the Media > Documents page of this website. You can also direct sponsors to the Community > Become a Sponsor page of this website to sign up for sponsorships.
The CM building is on the corner of 2nd Street and Cleveland Street. The LGI room is on the first floor of the CM building and is designated with a ceiling sign.
All Alvin High School baseball players must be at the football field at 1:30 today, August 18, in an Alvin tee shirt or jersey to parade around the field and demonstrate Yellowjacket pride.

Alvin High School Baseball would like to thank our generous 2012 home plate sponsors. This year we had 35 sponsors who donated $500 or more!
Home plate sponsors receive a home plate-shaped plaque with the graphic or text of their choice at the entrance to Nolan Ryan Field, and they are featured in the hilarious sponsorship commercials that are presented at the annual baseball banquet each year. We also list them here on this website. Please visit our 2012 Sponsors page, and frequent these businesses to show support for them as they have shown support for us.
